Halloween Costumes
So last Saturday our ward had the Trunk-Or-Treat. It was a lot of fun. Jarom ran a game booth and I helped judge best kids costume!! Jarom and I also got recognized for... well honestly I don't know what it was for... I guess they just wanted to recognize our costumes. Haha we didn't get a prize or anything.
We went as "Where's Waldo" and Wenda.

Except for nobody knew who I was. They either thought Jarom and I were both Waldo or I was "Waldo's wife." If you don't remember who Wenda is let me jog your memory...

Anyway I thought it was a cute idea. :) But it was kind of annoying to have to explain my costume all night. :) I guess next time I'll have to start shopping earlier and find Jarom a bigger striped shirt but people probably would have still thought we were both Waldos. :/ :p

A Fun Decoration
OK so from a couple blogs ago I think I made it very clear this is my favorite time of year. :) And one of the things I love to do is DECORATE! It just gives Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas that extra holiday spirit! Unfortunate Jarom and I don't have a lot of money right now so I couldn't buy a lot decorations for Halloween or Thanksgiving; But I did allot myself one item.

I figured Happy Harvest was the safest way to go for both holidays. :) If I got something to Halloween-ie it wouldn't have worked for Thanksgiving and if I bought something that said "Happy Thanksgiving" it wouldn't have worked for Halloween. I know it's still on the Thanksgiving side but... it works. :) Haha I love it. It puts a smile on my face every time I walk through the door. That is until I get inside and see the huge mess. :)

Deseret Book Events. :)
Wow I haven't updated in soooooo long. Over the summer I was really on top of it but alas, school has started and Jarom and I have been so busy. But we still try to find time to have fun.
Over General Conference weekend Deseret Book put on a ladies night while all the men went off to priesthood. My mom and I went and it was a lot of fun. There was lots of women (obviously) so we saw a lot of people we knew. There was also Costco cake for dessert. YUM! The first 100 people got this great plaque that had Joseph B. Worthlins "Come what may and love it" saying on it.

Then we all put our names in for a raffle. They were giving away some great stuff. I really wanted Gerald N. Lunds new book but someone else got that. :( But after a while my name was called and when I went to go up she was handing out C.D's. I went to take a C.D but my mom went up to the lady and asked her if I could have another book called "Women in the Old Testament." It's a beautiful book and it was the next one in line. It was my second choice next to Elder Lunds book and I got.

The sweet lady swapped my C.D for this beautiful book. I was so happy and grateful to my mom for speaking up. It never hurts to ask!
The second Deseret Book event was Time Out For Women. I went with Alison Squire. It was a lot of fun. The speakers were amazing. It was very spiritually uplifting!

It was at the Riverside Convention Center so it was quite the drive but we had so much to talk about! It was a great.
The line to get in.

The opened up the men's bathroom for the women which was really good because there was only 1 stall in each bathroom so we had 2 stalls for about 1,000 women. What were they thinking?!
During the lunch break we went to Denny's. Alison got this amazing looking sandwich that I should have gotten but...
I got the usual sampler. Chicken, mozzarella sticks, and french fries swimming in ranch! YUM
