Christmas has begun...

at least in the Price household! :] We aren't going to do inside decorations until after Thanksgiving but I was driving around the other day and saw some people had put up Christmas lights. It made me so happy. I guess because lights put me in a holiday mood so it makes me feel excited for Christmas and Thanksgiving!

Like I said the inside of our home still has Thanksgiving (and some Halloween) decorations. :] But our patio is looking very Christmas-y! Since we're in an apartment and can't nail anything we had to get some extra stuff. I'm not going to say we had to get creative because Lowes did all the crafty thinking for us! We just went in a bought it. :]

First off I LOVE this! My dad did it when we were growing up and I think most people know about it but they have plug converters that go into your porch light. Take out the bulb, screw in the converter, and plug in your Christmas lights! Then you can control them from your switch!

Then instead of us having bars on our balcony (like most people) we have a concrete wall with glass to help block the noise from the street. These are banister hooks (for garlands) but they work very well for us!

Since we can't use those for the bottom we bought this suction cups that hold the cords.

 Then these clips are probably the thing most people can use. They clip onto the wood partition under your gutter and hold your lights up! Jarom loved these and I'm pretty sure even when we move into a house that we can nail into we'll still use them!

new...New...NEW!!!

I love new things and I LOVE decorating my house!!!!! I'm slowly making it more and more of what I want. :] We've done the living room, and kitchen! Now I've done the bathroom. All that is left is the bedroom and office. I've been holding out on the office because I'm hoping that it will be a nursery soon but I guess if we never have kids then I wont know what to do with it. So I better become pregnant soon. :]

Anyway here's the bathroom!

When I first saw it I thought "that's modern and cute" and then the more I kept starting at it I thought it looked like indian patterns and I wasn't sure if I wanted it. The more I stared at it the more I thought "I should keep looking" but every time I looked at something else I kept coming back to this. :] Anyway in the end I really liked it.

We also had almost no light in our bedroom. We had one little lamp. I found these at Walmart and I really liked them! Plus our room is sooooo much brighter!

Yay for having new stuff!!! I love making my home new and different! Which is why I never have extra money. :]

Christmas Gift #1 (New Living Room)

Jarom and I finally finished the living room. We still have 2 little things we need to do but other then that we're through. :] I'm so happy with how it turned out!!

This isn't a totally true before since I had already started taking down decor when I remembered that I hadn't taken a before pic. I wasn't feeling good at all so I didn't want to put everything back up just for a good before pic. Also the before pics are taken with are bad camera. The after pics are taken with Lahren and Wills really nice camera.

We love our new house. :] We didn't plan on getting new couch at first but then everything just came together and we found the perfect one! It was like the universe was telling us we needed to get it. :] Haha anyway we love it!

New Desk

So Jarom and I have wanted a new desk for a while. Our last one was really small and kinda falling apart. When Jarom would be doing homework he'd have his books on the desk, his lap, and the ground trying to study. Now he can have them all on the desk. :] It's not to big not to small! And the best part was this desk was origanlly at Office Depot for $250. It was on sale for $130 and I hada 30% coupon. We got it... out the door... for $115! :] Haha we stayed up until 3am putting it together. The next day that didn't seem like a good idea. Again sorry for the pics. I really want a new camera.

$8 Furniture!

Anyway I was really excited when I thought of doing this. I'm not super creative but I got these pieces of furniture from my grandma. She passed away a while ago but my parents are finally selling her mobile home so we had to get rid of everything. I took a chair and a bookcase thingy. Haha I'm not sure what we'll do with it yet. Anyway all I had to do was buy the spray paint. :]

I didn't get a before picture of the chair but it was dark green and fading in some places.

I forgot to take a before pic of this also but I thought about it half way through so the bottom half is the color it used to be.

Pretty good huh? I have to admit I was pretty proud of myself. I like when I think of creative things. It makes me feel... creative. :]

Birthday Bedroom :) (Phase 1)

Before I start my post you may be wondering why in my title it says phase 1. Yes this is just phase one of my 3 phase birthday month. Haha.

So for my birthday Jarom got me a bedroom set that we've been looking at for a while and really wanted! I LOVE it. I was really surprised when he got it for me.

The first nice thing about it is we got 2 end tables. Yes TWO! Before we had one and I was using a little white table for my side.

The second nice thing about it the drawers are HUGE!! We had my grandmas old set and it was nice but sooooo tiny. We have way more drawer space now. Plus it adds a whole new dimension not just to the room but the whole house. Yeah it is a little big for our room. It was hard to get a good picture because I couldn't go anywhere to get the right angle but oh well. It is beautiful and I couldn't be more in love with it. :D

A Fun Decoration

OK so from a couple blogs ago I think I made it very clear this is my favorite time of year. :) And one of the things I love to do is DECORATE! It just gives Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas that extra holiday spirit! Unfortunate Jarom and I don't have a lot of money right now so I couldn't buy a lot decorations for Halloween or Thanksgiving; But I did allot myself one item.


I figured Happy Harvest was the safest way to go for both holidays. :) If I got something to Halloween-ie it wouldn't have worked for Thanksgiving and if I bought something that said "Happy Thanksgiving" it wouldn't have worked for Halloween. I know it's still on the Thanksgiving side but... it works. :) Haha I love it. It puts a smile on my face every time I walk through the door. That is until I get inside and see the huge mess. :)
